Ball Valves

A wide range of ball valves are available in bronze, lead-free*, brass, carbon steel or stainless steel materials at Sagar Tubes (India). Choose the correct ball valve in one-piece, two-piece, three-piece or full port or conventional port. A scope of trim material is accessible. The right end connection to choose from include press-to-connect or threaded or solder or flanged.

The valve finishes are accessible such as butt welding, attachment welding, flanged, strung and others.

A ball valve is a shut-off valve that can controls the flow of a liquid or gas by the means of a rotary ball having a bore. By rotating a ball quarter turn (90 degrees) around its axis, the medium can flow through or is blocked. They are characterized by a long service span and give a dependable sealing over the life expectancy, notwithstanding when the valve isn’t being used for quite a while. Therefore, they are more known as a shut-off valve then that of the gate valve. Also they are more resistant against contaminated media than the other types of valves. In extraordinary variants, ball valves are additionally utilized as a control valve. This application is less common because of relatively limited accuracy of controlling the flow rate in comparison to other types of control valves. Notwithstanding, the ball valve additionally offers a few points of interest here. For instance, the valve still guarantees a reliable sealing, even on account of grimy media.

Types of Ball valves

Ball valves are essentially accessible in three variants: full port, venturi port and reduced port. The full-port valve has an internal diameter equivalent to the inner diameter of the pipe. Venturi and reduced port forms are generally one pipe size smaller than the line size.

Ball valves are manufactured in various body designs and the most widely recognized are:

  • Top entry Ball valves enable access to valve internals for maintenance by removal of the valve Bonnet-cover. It isn’t required to be removed valve from the pipe framework.
  • Split body Ball valves comprises of a two sections, where one section is smaller than the other. The ball is embedded in the bigger body part, and the smaller body part is assembled by bolted connection.

The valve ends are accessible as butt welding, socket welding, flanged, threaded and others.
